Jeffrey A. Laird President

Jeff Laird began his real estate career as a development project manager with LaSalle Partners (Jones Lang LaSalle).
Later he was with The John Buck Co., and Capital Associates Development Corp.(CAMCO).
Major development projects included:
• Tri-State Center, Sanders Road, Northbrook, IL (LaSalle)
• 200 S. Wacker Dr., Chicago (John Buck)
• 1120 N. LaSalle St. and 1111 N. Dearborn St., Chicago (CAMCO)

Since 1986, he has specialized in the sale and leasing of commercial, industrial and retail user and investment properties throughout the Chicago Metropolitan Area, including loft properties in the industrial districts around the fringe of Chicago's Loop. In the late 1980's he was among the early pioneers of urban gentrification, identifying commercial neighborhoods with excellent appreciation potential, such as River North, the Clybourn Corridor and Ravenswood Avenue. Laird & Co. has become a leading commercial real estate brokerage on Chicago's North Side, handling all types of commercial and investment properties.

He completed the following professional real estate education programs:
• Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR)
• Institute of Real Estate Management - Certified Property Manager (CPM)
• National Association of Realtors' Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR).

He is long time member of the Association of Industrial Real Estate Brokers (AIRE) and the Chicago Association of Realtors.
He is is currently on the Board of Directors of the Northern Illinois Commercial Association of Realtors (NICAR).

Laird is a graduate of Rutgers University and the College of Architecture at Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT).

He is a member of The Museum of Contemporary Art, The Art Institute, and the Chicago Botanic Garden.
